I’ll be going there on the bike tomorrow and was wondering if any regulars or past attendees know whether there is a helmet park/storage area usually there? If you guys think that’s doubtful then I’ll have to fit the panniers to store my lid in as I don’t fancy carrying my helmet round all day.

I have never seen one TBH but could be wrong

It’s a few years since I went, but they did have helmet storage in the parking area.

Ared Forces Bikers have a trailer there, just by the payment kiosk.

I'm sure I recall seeing a tent just near the entry point, and didn't notice that many carrying helmets whilst walking round? We'd gone in a car though.

As others have said , huge tent on the left just before the pay kiosks ( still on the parking field side) . Enjoy the show. Im not going this year but would appreciate a quick report if you have time later

Went yesterday. I've not been on set up/dealer day for ages. The usual collection of dealer stuff outside & in the side halls. Enjoyed being able to wonder around and look at stuff without the crush, especially in the main hall.
I didnt get eveywhere but there didnt seem to be much in the way of BMW - a sollitary r80g/s on the club stand upstairs, waiting for company, plus a couple of oilheads up for sale elsewhere. But there was quite a lot of Italian stuff including some fabulous tiddlers. Morini club stand, Benelli, IMOC and others The Ducati OC stand has a celebration of the 916 and the MGOC stand was upstairs (I particularly liked the Galleto). And the Laverda triples stand also caught my eye - hard to ignore a turbocharged 1200 in purple metal flake...
Pleny of specials and Japanese 2 strokes about too. A good few owners club stands full of shiney 70/80/90s Japanese UJMs if that's your thing plus the usual British stuff (maybe less than in previous years? Difficult to be sure as it doesnt really interest me) A good display of individual bikes too with some rarities dotted about.
I also saw auction estimates on a couple of bevel Ducatis in the main hall, which maybe give an indication of the state of flux in the classic market. One was low (not an unusual ploy) but on another stand was a 900ss that was WAY too high, by about £10k IMHO. Weird.
Quite a few stands still being set up when I left at 6pm so clearly lots more interesting stuff to come...

Its muddy for sure as just back after getting the motorhome stuck in mud! most outside stands where well trodden by the end of the day so don't wear ya white boots! Apart from that good show think prices have dropped a tad (well except a £9 burger and a £4,50 cappachino...) WTF.
Hope the weather is better tomorrow for all concerend.

Vulpine 2 Stafford splits into two shows. The Spring show is old British stuff, the Oct Japanese and more modern classics. The segregation doesn't effect the outside traders , but the indoor traders and Club stands alter eg more Japanese stuff at this show.

Good point! Explains the paucity of Brit bikes... it's been years since I went to Stafford and had completely forgotten the split. Tho' I might go again today, weather looks promising

I went on Friday for setting up day and agree it was much better for seeing stuff. I luxed it all weekend in the motorhome, cooked me own stuff and didn't bother with the daftburgers and crappuchinos. It made for a very relaxing weekend and by the look of things there was probably over a hundred other 'campers' enjoying the event as well as me.

This was the most interesting thing at the show for me. It’s a “copy” of the original Laverda prototype frame, that was developed on behalf of BMW for what became the G/S.

How many reached reserve though,
I used to go to a jap car import auction years ago,
I bought the same car 7 times before they let me have it
I paid less on the final bid than the the first.
