Stained Lacquer

On my gearbox housing, caused by a petrol leak at some point I think?

Have tried everything to remove it...T Cut, Autosol etc etc but no luck. Do I have no alternative but to re-spray?

try alloy wheel cleaner, but wash off as per instructions!

Exactly like that ..... as yours is still there I assume it's unmoveable?

Actually this is a pic of Mr E's bike but mine is the same
i hav'nt tried to remove it as i suspect it's caused by the heat
of the engine and naff laquer,and once removed it will return
Mines a 2000 bike also with the dreaded fork brace.
