Try the Dufferine Arms in Killyleagh, just up the road from Strangford, cracking atmosphere and foods fantastic.

Go & visit Crossan motorcycles. (Near Newry)
Whilst there, look across the road & you will see a Golf Club. (Mayobridge Golf Club)
Go there & order a steak & Chips (Preferably Blue)
It is the only place in Ireland I have come across where you can reliably get a first class blue steak.
Be wary of the large one. It is huge! Chef is Superb. Prices very reasonable.
P.S. Ask in Crossans about it.

There isn't a in Newry, but you will get one in Banbridge which is about 2 miles from our house. Sainsbury has a store in Newry though.
