Ha ha just saw your post. Will be there on 10th I’m used to mountains, snow & ice.....but not on a bike

Italy, passes close to Switzerland. Excuse pun

Nearest bit of Austria is Nauders, about an hour North, and a nice run it is too

nope, the pass runs along the Italy/Swiss border for a while but is entirely in Italy.

To get to the Stelvio you leave Austria at Nauders and go over the Reschen Pass (reservoir with clock tower sticking out)
