The flat slide on my Mikuni carb is sticking just before it gets to the bottom when you close off the throttle......

Soak the whole thing in WD40.... it worked for my chainsaw that had a gummed up carb......

More info required BYT.
Has this just sta r ed to happen for no apparent reason and without any changes being made?
Have you just chaged the height of the needle, or changed the main jet?
Have you just fitted the Mikuni?
When you say "it is sticking" do you mean that you have actually seen it physically stuck, ir that when you close the throttle that the engine is revving higher than idle?
I'm sure the collective can think up many more questions, and even more solutions. ..
If it is physically sticking though it is the carb internals, cable mechanism or the cable itself.

Or twat it with a hammer.....judge the weight of the strike carefully....just right and you could shock it free....too heavy...and you'll need a new carb....either way..job, jobbed......ask any ex-REME to lend you a suitable hammer......![]()
