exhaust not closing/ seated properly. Are you you sure its not bent

Prob best wait for an answer from a grown up :thumb2

WTF is the very deep scratching around the valve seat ?

You've better smooth all that out or you'll get a carbon build up and hot spot on the scoring.

valves look like they need replacing. might be to do with the photo, but the inlet valve seating area looks dished and the exhaust is definitely not sealing like that.

Re ground the valves cleaned off carbon build up and polished head .Engine ticks over and runs better but still hotter than RH cylinder . I'm trying to do this on a budget so can,t justify head rebuilds at the moment. I did notice loads of end float on the rocker arms are there shims available to take some out. Thanks for advise so far.

cyl is running lean or right running rich. whats the compression like now ?

edit. are the carbs even on the throttle cables

Both compressions 130 psi
Have also removed the electronics ignition booster. cleaned the carbs .bike know starts on the buttons and will even kick start. Result bike sounds pretty good will try and set car.bs up but might well need an expert . Both exhausts about the same temp but slightly worst burn on left leg than right don't wear shorts when riding bike! Fucking hurts.

That sounds alot better :thumb has it had a good clear out thrash yet
A little carb fettling and you will probably be there :thumb2

Ah the burned shins :D watch your big toes if you decide to wear flipflops I always seem to want to rest them on the exhaust :blast

Edit. How are the HT leads They can also cause rough running. You can make your own for a fraction of the cost of ready made ones
