Stockholm parking

The wife and I are off on a Scandi tour for 3 weeks from 24th May.
Heading to Bremmen then Copenhagen, Malmo, Gothenburg, Stockholm and Trondheim before heading through the Fjiords to Bergen.

We're playing most things by ear as we go along but have just booked a place in Gamla Stan to stay. The hotel doesn't have parking, but can one just park a bike on the road? Otherwise, I see that there's a car park in Katarinavagen SLUSSEN P-HUS. Do bikes have to pay the same rate as cars for parking?

It´s some time ago since i last went there with bike but there should be plenty free parking spots for bikes.

I go to Stockholm a lot.

There is on street parking for motorcycles but (like any capital city, even a small one) they get busy. Gamla Stan is the 'Old town' part of city, where the royal palace is, so parking may well be restricted.

The best way to get around? Take the Metro underground, with a 'tourist ticket'. It really is very good.
