Stolen GS1150 !

Took to walking round with girlfriend and a friendly local biker offered ( with a van) to take us all round the rough areas, but no luck
If it was one of you lot cheers great help and possibly saved us getting our heads kicked in .

Good luck in getting the bike back but it's sounds like your best option now is to hope that you don't and then to work as hard as you can in getting the very best settlement out of your insurance company. Once the payout is in your hand then the fun of searching for a new bike will help you forget about your loss.

Just a shame for both of you that your trip was ruined . :(:(

She had a great time😁but no joy. To make it worse it's my old man's bike and I'm a named driver on his insurance 😶

Was speaking to a bloke today who claims he spotted the GS last night, in the company of two stolen Speed Triples, in the Meadows area of Edinburgh.

Yes probably hope they kill themselfs on it ! Harsh i know but feeling really gutted about it as saved up for the short break and wanted to show girlfriend where i cycled to when i was 16 etc.instead went round all the rough areas!
Home reluctantly as wanted to stay up there to continue the search and hope 😢

well yes rider 😊 still upset and annoyed that my mind is racing and heart beat is still pounding away 😈

I would watch eBay listings in the next few weeks for parts sort by nearest first and set the postcode for the area it was taken you might be lucky and notice some of your accessory or recognisable parts listed.

It will be further along the road in Pilton / Granton Stolen by a mob of little ***** who unfortunately are only killing themselves once per year or so instead of more frequently.

Cops won`t do a thing.

im back home now but hoping someone finds it in reasonable condition . Found bits of the backbox on council estate not far away

police have just phoned to say my bike has been involved in a hit and run and they have found it burnt out :tears! bas**** hope they rot in hell soon !!

yes and soon ! police said they will send photos tomorrow ! not sure i want to see them :tears:tears

Anyone selling a good 1150 gs that looks similar the blue and white ?

Watch out for the third parties ambulance chasers contacting you asking for your insurance details to claim off your policy for the thieves accident.

Hi folks, I'm the manager of Infinity Motorcycles in Glasgow and I've spoken to 3 customers in the last few weeks who have had their bikes stolen. All 3 from Edinburgh. Seems like a real hot-spot for bike thefts at the moment.
I hope the police get to grips with it soon.

I've tried joining the "Scotland's Bikers Against Bike Crime" Facebook site, with no success. Not sure if the join requests are actually monitored?
I'm quite often in the Granton/Pilton/Muirhouse/Trinity area for work, and have seen the neds on a few occasions.
A KTM most recently, but also a GS (Black tank and German plates) about a month ago. Riders and pillion wearing standard uniform of grey hoodie and black scarf.
Also seen the Saturday morning game of wheelies along Muirhouse Parkway on a Honda VFR......

Hope you don't mind, but I've added this to "Scotland's Bikers Against Bike Crime" Facebook site.

There has been to many tourists bikes being nicked in Edinburgh of late. Bikes normally being nicked by "joyriding" neds. Hopefully it will turn up.

Neds have taken to posting up photos of their thefts on social media. Makes my blood boil:mad::mad::mad:
