STOLEN GSA1250 PUTNEY HL19 CFP

If you spent £12, you'd be able to access the pub, which means you'd be able to see several threads on exactly that topic. If you really can't wait, it'll be the quickest route for you to take. Failing that, you'll just satisfy yourself reading the posts in the 1200 section from bods bemoaning that they are missing their baby in its stable and on what tyres compliment bods' gloves best.

As appealing as that sounds, I think there are more than enough tyre threads I can read without subs that demonstrate Important things like how I can corner Like Marc Marquez if I only used brand xxxx.

Stolen motobike to insults, how worse this place gets, many will regret words when virus comes to house.

Would love to see if someone does a test purchase from one of these e bay sellers in Lithuania where the parts are actually posted from.
Pound to a pinch of shit that they may very well be registered in Lithuania as an E Bay seller but are actually living and trading from somewhere in the south east of england.
Reverse of Chinese e bay sellers who claim to be based and trading from the UK,
Would do it myself but then they have your home address

I can’t wait for the “ I’m still riding my bike, sod em ” after the lockdown thread. That’s gonna go really well.

Shall I start it? ;)

It is in fact perfectly ok for one to ride one’s bike to a place of exercise as long as you maintain social distancing during the ride and at your destination - the rules do not expressly forbid driving to your place of exercise, if you only have a motorcycle (like me) then it’s only fair that you can use it for that purpose. It’s much less likely to spread the virus than jogging around a town centre.

Michael Gove said we can “go for the standard length run or walk as we ordinarily would have done....the important thing is once a day”

Your case clearly Comes under common sense. Blasting round a mountain road somewhere for the sheer hell of it, Would be less so. Not only movement wise but if you crash, hospitalisation etc etc. I don’t think anyone is asking for more than common sense to be applied To every journey.
I read something very simple but true on Facebook that says it all.

The virus doesn’t move, people move and the virus uses them as transport to the next host.

I agree common sense is far better than dogmatism.

I have ordered several parts from Lithuania. They were new parts ( in theory) from an official dealer. It’s one of the biggest bmw motorcycle dealers in Europe so there must be a market for bmw bikes there. That doesn’t mean nicked ones aren’t going there, just they do have a healthy internal market and hence have people with healthy incomes. Both parcels were dpd tracked From source so they were not U.K. dispatched

I hate this shit. What gives these twats the right to just take what isnt theirs. I hope they and their families end up with the current virus.

Sorry to hear your bike's been nicked. If you get a new one to replace it at least it'll have a ff datatool stealth 5 tracker which hopefully will make it less of a target for the scroats.

Therein lies the problem. One is required due to lack of the other.
I overheard the builder working next door yesterday "With everyone sitting at home it is people like me that's keeping the country going"

I have a phone interview with the insurance company tomorrow afternoon and I already know that I am going to be smashed up, I have done my homework and found three other 1250s with the same spec and mileage. I have to pay the first £600 so I am already down. This will be my last new bike, its not worth the grieve and worry I am going to buy a shit old commuter

Unfortunately you are now a marked man, get yourself a 10 year old 650 Vstrom and get the numbers back down.

Sucks big time. A friend of mine used to live in Clapham and had several bikes nicked. In the end he had to use his parents out of town address as his location to get any insurance whatsoever. Owning a bike and not having the option of secure off street parking is fast becoming a no no in London. Deffo do your homework with examples the insurer can look up on prices etc. On the 2 occasions I’ve had written off cars I’ve bumped them up a fair bit that way

I found the pictures interesting in as much that a witness was able to take photographs but actually do nothing.

Made me think, What Would I Do in that situation seeing a bike being stolen?

I would like to think that I would intervene, somehow, but what, and at what risk.

Push scrote no 1 off the red Honda moped - run at him quickly, pushing on the top box and catch him off balance?

Would the 2 of them just scarper?

Grab the keys out of the ignition?

Where is the disc cutter? (presumably battery powered)

All thoughts mind you.

We are all brave behind a keyboard.

OP so sorry to hear they got your bike, I lost my forever keeper RT 90th Anniversary, car and lots more to a burglary while on holiday. I would end up in prison if I got hold of the scum.

I would imagine it depends on your previous experience of being involved in incidents etc, these little shits are like hyenas, one on one they bark loud but are usually quite pathetic, in a pack they can be a problem. They also have no social line and will stab/attack without fear on consequence.

From some of the stuff I have done (inc employment) I am pretty sure I would get stuck in but under no illusion that I am probably going to get hurt in some form, as everyone does in any physical incident unless it’s a truly uneven match.

Knocking him off the red scooter would would cause the GS rider to heisiate and ponder whether to stop, at this point you have one down and the other one unsure. If you are quick that gives you the upper hand but don’t concentrate on one or you’ll get jumped. A push into the GS with ththe scooter would probably result in both going down and I would guess they would both go for the scooter as a GS is hard to pick up when you are attacking. Hopefully some others will have join you by then.

A good tip, a helmet is a good weapon to headbutt with however the minute you can grab the chin bar and drag it backwards, you have taken control of the head, they will have to go where you pull. If the strap is undone, then you’ve just gained a weapon to keep hold of and hit with. Odds on for human nature, he will try to get the helmet back. This all gains time for further intervention, causes them more issues and adds to their unease.

Just be very careful and know that you might get hurt in some form however if society stood up together these little shits would be screwed.

Just my opinion, I HATE these little shits and would quite happily go toe to toe with them whatever it may bring.
