Stolen from Clonliffe road next to Croke park

This is a fairly rare bike and any info leading to its recovery will be rewarded,

Bike has a red tank and a givi back box and bmw panniers, 00 C 35589 with just under 45k miles

Here we go again!

What sort of place is this Dublin city now.......?

T.

A Capital city growing to big too quick.

This happens every day, only posted as it' a GS - possibly familiar to some here :nenau

I dont think it's any better or worse than most Capital cities. Personally i've found that Capitals are not generally a reflection of an entire country and its culture.
Thankfully.

Taken from IBF

I had a bike stolen a good number of years ago from right outside my sitting room window. I suppose I was asking for it cause I never put a lock on it and I had plenty of room to ride it around to the back garden away from prying eye's, but no I left it on show for all to admire and nick.

Even to this day I never put a lock on when I'm out and about, well after the last couple of stolen bike threads that's about to change. Just put a heavy duty lock and chain in the top-box.:rob:thumb2

Hope the R850GS turn up soon.:thumb2

ps. the bike that was stolen was recovered by the Gardaí in Finglas with minor damage and a full tank of petrol:D

Hi All

Og,

I'm the "previous owner" of the 850 gs

Thanks for posting this here, appreciate the help.

Will post pics in next couple of days

Spoke to guy in insurance company today and he said bike thefts in Dublin have at least doubled in last 6 months, seems that they are getting stolen to order!

one guy he dealt with had his stolen from inside his locked garage where it was also chained to a ground anchor!!!

R850 GS

The 850 was recovered today heading to Gannon's recovery apparently it was thrown into the canal.
I would get it out of Gannon's as quick as possible if I were you the bikes are treated like scrap over there

Thanks Arch - i've posted that info on IBF.

hope he gets there a.s.a.p!

Thrown into the canal, how low can they get, would love to see several of the scumbags get their comeuppance

Ya the bike was found and recovered from the canal today, can't look at it until the garda do a tehnical examination so will have to wait before I can get it removed. From what they (the cops) have told me its a write off though

needless to say pretty gutted but not surprised

Want to say thanks to everyone on this and other forums especially those who rang or texted me with information

Have no way of moving the bike but from what I see on IBF spiceburger is recomended?

Again thanks to all for the support and help, really appreciated and made me glad to be part of the Irish biking community!!!

Regards

Steve

If you get it cleared from Gannons and want it picked up let me know I deal with them out there and have no bother picking it up for you no charge.

Take the wee fuckers to the canal themselves, duck their heads three times an take them out twice. Bastards.
