Are these better than the strip ones advice would be good

All down to choice.

Personally I use the strips.

Always have done.

One repair got me round a 5500 mile tour (cue the GSA Costa only Brigade wailing about it being temporary)

Dirt cheap, and if you saw down the handles a bit or buy a clever multi tool they take up v little room.

I’ve also morphed from a slime generator for air to an air bank unit. Brilliant and no dicking about with gas bottles. 👍🏽

Can you not buy a Dynaplug kit? I swear by them.
Those are alright for a small piercing. I carry a selection of all of them and hope not to need them.

I have tried both, I prefer the mushroom plugs in the Stop n Go kit - they work in the car and trailer too. I find the sticky strings difficult to fit effectively. I carry both though and a can of Tyreweld / Finnilec for tubes. I had a front puncture on a nearly new Tourance on Nellie, my old GS1150, one mushroom plug saw it for another 15,000 miles, when it started losing pressure slowly, a few lbs over a few days, I pushed the plug in and fitted a new one and that saw the tyre out. I have had similar in a nearly new rear Tourance on the 1150GSA, less than 500 miles old and bloody nail through it... two plugs saw the tyre to end of life, about 13,000 miles. So I have good faith in the Stop n Go system.

I take it you’ve never watched Ryan F9’s video comparing the various systems? Not sure you’d be quite so positive if you had…
No,I get bored by these people on YouTube giving advice, same as I get bored by people asking advice on forums.
As an adult I prefer to do my own research and not rely on strangers on the tinternet.
For what it's worth I've never had a problem with the dynaplug system.

Stop and Go is a great system. Very strong. It's a mushroom.

I do tyre repair demos and use the strings and the Stop and go as a comparison.

Strings are good. Stop and go is better.

You can literally pick up a 1250GSA rear wheel with the Stop and Go plug and a pair of pliers. The repair is THAT good.

The same test I do, pulls the string straight out.

The only negative with the Stop and go is that it is more complicated. But not a lot.

Both will hold pressure at 100PSI

Your experience is obviously different to mine Ted. I've had so many failures with Stop & Go over the years (usually in the form of persistent slow leaks around the plug) that I gave up and went back to strings. For a while I carried both. Now just strings...

I've seen your repairs. They are bread related.

Do you still have that photo? 😂
