This was loaded and the mechanic performed a scan on each component to see if there were any further upgrades and apparently found none. He had the BMW software update news sheet and was following its instructions.
So why did the Tester not give my GS the download?????

Sounds as though someone hasn't read the sheet properly that came with CIP 7.0 (coding individlisation programme for all you anoraks out there).themadprofessor said:Well I took my 1200GS into my dealer on Saturday. Does that mean there is yet another BMS update,? Is that going to change the fuel mapping yet again- BMW software seems to be more flakey than microsofts!skywalker said:Sounds as though someone hasn't read the sheet properly that came with CIP 7.0 (coding individlisation programme for all you anoraks out there).
After the software check the page will display all the control units fitted to the bike in white lettering followed by the retrofit button at the bottom.
Select ZFE then programming then special measure &that will up date the software. Same for BMS which will make the bike run so much better

we shall see next week!! If not then will be a DIY solution as am p*ssed off with having to keep going through the start up procedure up to three times before the damn thing (GPS) will stay on.
