Anybody on here own one of the new ones ? Maybe thinking about one for our next bike instead of the RT. I think I could put a top box on for when me and Jayne go off. I think I could swap a lot of stuff over from my RKS over onto one unless I started again.

Mornin' Chris. So you would be selling the RT and keeping the RKS? :nenau

The Street Glide has bar-mounted fairing whereas the Road Glide is frame mounted .
Makes a huge difference even if the latter has marmite looks .
I’d go for the latter . Try them both .
Actually I’d go for something else that’s far superior to both IMHO :-)

Just showed Jayne she likes it. Would one of those be heavier than my RT ?

I must admit I keep looking at them. There was a well priced Dark Horse up at KC Superbikes oop North a little while ago that I looked at and they gave me a cracking price for a trade in but I thought about it for too long and it sold in the meantime.:blast

Here you go:
BMW R1250 RT wet. 279kg
Road King Special wet 366kg
Street Glide Special wet 375kg

Challenger 361 kgs, and 122 bhp out of the box :-)

Lighter than my RKS just. I thought my RT Would be heavier although it's a higher up bike if you know what I mean.

Plus a lot of stuff you would pay extra for or not be available from H-D, like decent factory suspension, water cooled, electric windscreen, tft screen, LED lights all round, better brakes, riding modes etc.

Their accessories are bloody dear though, and aftermarket bits are very thin on the ground so far.

If I bought a street glide a top box would be around £1800
