Hi all,

I have had until recently a vfr800, which I had really grown to dislike over the year I owned it (too fast and too uncomfortable). Im looking for a gs after trying just about everything else for size (im 6' 3in). If anyone knows the best place to pick up a 1100 gs for between £2000-2500 please let me know, as im really finding it hard to find one.

Thanks

James

welcome:)

check on here, a few come up, i think there are a couple on at the moment, bike trader is also a good one.

thought the vfr800 non vtec was a good bike? horses for courses i guess.

vfr

The vfr is a great bike for the shorter rider, the trouble is as I got used to it I was riding faster and faster, three figures frequently. When you have a bike like that its all too easy to loose your license. I also suffred from cramp in the legs and weight on the wrists. I bought it as a bit of a knee jerk thing last feb, but it was pretty crap on the local roads and also pretty crap on a long run for me! It would have cost near 2k to get to how I would have liked it (new lower foot pegs and risers plus luggage and screen) and that was too much for a bike wth no character. Plus I have always wanted a gs since sitting on one a few years ago.

I cant seem to work out how to respond to adverts (being new and all) !

I think you need a subscription to the forum to use the For Sale section. It's only 12 quid and if you do buy a GS, you'll find it's the best "accessory" you'll buy.

Welky, the chaps are right...your best chance is to become a subscriber which gives you access to the FS&W section.

I'm afraid we don't allow threads selling or wanting to buy stuff outside of that section.....I'm sure you'll have success there though :)
