Struggling with gear lever

Hi, I've just picked up my first GS and I'm loving the bike, a big improvement from my Triumph Tiger 1050 on all levels.

I have a question for the forum, I'd just like to know if anyone else out there is finding it awkward to change gear. I'm finding that the gear lever is close into the bike and I'm just not reaching it easily. Probably not an issue for those with size 12 boots.

You can buy a gear lever extender/enlarger. that should do the trick. get one that tightens up with a grub screw. Some of the other ones that just push on have been known to fall off. Did you get your bike from Dundee ?

Don't ride on your toes. Peg under bridge of foot and gear lever should be within reach.

I had the same issue. As above you can adapt your foot position to help, but I just fitted one of these:

Expensive, but did the job perfectly.

Hi, I ended up getting the bike from Edinburgh Motorrad Central. I did test ride one of the GS's at John Clark, Dundee.
