stuck in endless loop

Today I downloaded update 12th Aug 08 from Garmin site and connected Garmin 550. All it does now is endlessly cycle between displaying Loader - Software Loading - the initial switch on screen and finally - Loading maps ..... before going back to Loader.

Can anyone throw some light on what i have done and how to undo it?

I did an update yesterday no problem - might be an idea to re-do update direct from Garmin site (with Zumo connected to PC at same time) and see if that cures it?

Make sure you leave it long enough to do its stuff before disconnecting
