The BMW system is *&*&£%^(!!#&*#"£$@&^"*&.
It's like having T-ford pedals in all Ford-cars and all other cars have the normal setup.
There's no need to have three buttons to do the job that's accomplished so well but the
standard one button system. The BMW system makes overtaking a real chore... using both hands (clutch & throttle) and both thumbs to twiddle with 3 buttons is just crazy (and dangerous).
The horn and light buttons are also in the wrong places; I realy have to focus on which buttons to use. And that's dangerous.
If BMW is reading this; change the switches, asap, or at least provide us with an alternative.
If any aftermarket electrickery-manufacturers reads this; I'll pay £50 to £100 without batting an eyelid to get normal stylish switches onto my bike.
This whole thing reminds me of "clever" programmers and designers of web pages who think they're doing something "cool" and "clever" like putting the menu on the bottom of a web-page... Just stuipid...
.... Feel better now...
PS, I ride a lot of different bikes all the times, didn't even have a problem with the Harley ones (maybe coz they don't go that fast

), pressed the horn on the Aprilia RSV-R and the Husky, but that happened once; I've had the Beemer for 1100miles now, and I still have to focus on the buttons... Nicht Gut! NEIN!
