What’s the success rate of the ABS tapping malarkey,and how far d’you have to ride before the Brake Warning Light goes off

It’s very “hit and miss”

And you have to hit the right part. Plus it all depends on the problem being the brushes stuck in their holders in the first place, if that’s not the problem then hitting it’s not the cure.
It can work for an hour, a hundred metres permanently or a couple of days.
That’s the thing, it costs nothing to try so what have you got to lose.
Have you had diagnostics plugged in ? What was the fault code ?


P.S, it’s more of a “jarring thud” that’s required, rather than a “hit”
