Anybody up for a ride out onto the Moors on Sun 26th July? Possibly do some of the lanes we did on the Levisham bash a few weeks ago (Rudland Rigg, Glaisdale Rigg, bit of open forestry road etc)?

Would love to join you on that one Andy, but unfortunately - or fortunately! - we are setting off that day to take the bike over to Iceland for three weeks.

I'll give you a shout a little later in the year and see if you are still up for it.

Is this dooooable on tourances ???

I can only think of one sticky patch last time we did it and that would be OK if we've had a dry few days, if not it could be bypassed quite easily.

Enjoy Iceland, give us a shout when you feel like a run out :thumb2

Hopefully I'll be able to join you on this one, will be able to confirm after the weekend.

Cheers all !

I'm thinking about 9.30ish in Pickering somewhere but open to suggestions!

Could be tempted, will keep an eye on thread. Guess would be OK two-up? Tricky sections walkable by pillion if necessary? And assuming the rain stops in the meantime :D

I'm looking at the same lanes that we did on the Levisham bash a couple of months ago and most of the stuff I would think would be ok 2-up. There are only 2 or 3 'tricky' bits, depending how wet it's been and they aren't that long.

Hi Andy,
I have just puchased an f650 funduro 1994,the bike is on road tyres and i have never done any off road riding (not intentionaly anyway)But would love to come and have a go next week if that's ok.

Fine with me :thumb2 There's only one short stretch that might be a bit muddy for road tyres but if I get a chance I'll have a look at the state of it later this week, and it can be easily bypassed if need be. There's a bit of a descent from Rudland Rigg that might be tricky but I think more for taller bikes than a funduro but I'm desperately hoping (for my sake really) that there'll be enough of us to assist anything down that gets stuck.
