Surrey Trail ride (Wombat Hunt) Sunday 10th

Glad you are OK.

Can I ask a favour of you all? You may not know, but Tony's cronies are trying to close the Royal Surrey - so no more A+E if that happens - nearest one will be nearly 20 miles away.

If you value the cover, please support our campaign here:

Cheers.:thumb

Signed that too, Royal Surrey did an emergency check on the missus when she was pregnant.

Looking forward all week, loaded bike SATURDAY NIGHT, Paul met me in the morning we were going to load both bikes Saturday, but.

Anyway 8.15 both bikes never fit on the van so its my trailer, should have put my bike on the trailer and Pauls in the van.

As I hit the kerb on first roundabout and over went a brand NEW HUSURBURG,

So rang Roy, sorry Roy

I returned home, so put my bike on trailer, Paul feel on ice road on returning to Chateux Burbs, and managed to make it back.

Now 9.15 Paul has dislocated his thumb, so he can`t return home as Mrs Paul say one more trip to Hospital and no more bikes.

4 cups of tea, much disscution about thumbs, now hes feeling better

So we ride off to Salisbury Plain 11.00 when we leave.

10 mins on Plain and the pain is to much, Paul returns home, I spend the day on the plain on my tod,

Bollox, I so wanted to be there, but I wasn`t going to leave a mate.

Well I missed it becuase I did'nt plan to come... However I did get around to thinking I should change the oil on the 1150 after last weekends dunking and I noticed Fowlers are selling these WR250 '05 for £3500.

Or is ther a better way to spend £3500 on a trail bike?

I paid 2k for my KTM 525exc(think I did quite well there)

get a Dr 400 for 2ish Ktm 450 or 400 all for less than 3.5

Bearing in mind what you are going to use it for why buy new???

have a look around on ebay and autotrader,

and ask yourself why they are selling them off the wr250 cheap??

Thanks Roy.. another great day out... weather stayed nice too; it started raining just as I left the car park at Newlands corner :clap

Glad Noel is OK, that teach him to fall off - try and keep the black bits facing down next time :thumb

Hope you all have a great Xmas, see you early in the New year for another ride I hope.

Wref, just look at these guys when they stop Red faced ,sweating and out of puff fighting their bikes.

Its a knob thing these 500/450cc KTM etc trail bikes.

BIG cc`s means BIG KNOB

250cc or even 125cc ride all day not half a day.

Don`t get dragged into it, be your own man, well I know you will anyway, riding a 1150 the other day :bow

Chaps,

spoke to Terry (KTM525) about a weekend in the Peak district. He's prepared to guide us (for one or two days) for a small fee.

I've opened a new thread on this http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php?t=91157) so if you're interested in doing this sometime early next year (Feb-Mar) let me know (in the new thread above) and I'll set it up. Minimum number needed is 4 to be viable.

cheers

Simon
