The metzeler "Karoo T" is similar, or maybe marginally more aggressive than the TKC 80.

The Metzeler "Karoo" is the edge interms of still being street legal ... its a fair bit more dirt biased than the TKC.

Both come in 1200GS fitments

Thanks for the Tyre info Mr Colebatch.

What's a HID?

I really fancy this, but only have an 1100 with tourances to ride, will I survive or should I get some TKCs?

I did the last one on a 1200 Adv with Distanzias ... similar road/off road bias as the tourances (ie both are abour 97% road / 3% off road). My advice is dont. Its a very wet run at the best of times ... after the last couple of weeks it will be a mudbath.

Its damn hard without knobblies. Wet clay and mud and heavy bikes on road biased tyres dont really work.

You can do it on the bigger bikes but put something like the Karoos on it first.
Even the TKCs will clog up and become slicks quickly on those trails and in this weather

off topic,sorry for hi-jack

super enduro R,i've pm'ed you a few times about your wheels

are you selling them?

So just to make sure, please be at Newlands Corner ready for the off at 10:00 this coming Sunday.

Regards, Roy.

PS. Have a good day. :thumb
