no where for too long.
I have recently bought a 2018 1200GS Rallye. It had 800 miles when I bought it, and is about a year old. It now has 2000 miles on it and I've owned it about 6 weeks.
My question is; Is it possible to cause damage to the suspension system (Dynamic ESA) by moving the bike around whilst seated with the ignition off?
The reason I ask is that I regularly drop down a double height kerb into my property when arriving home after switching off the ignition. I notice that the suspension stiffens up a lot once the ignition is off, and I am wondering if dropping off the kerb like that has somehow damaged the damping, as the rear suspension seems a lot more bouncy now, than it did, of course it may just be me.
The system still stiffens up on Dynamic setting, but on Road or Enduro, if I bounce the rear of the bike down it will top out before settling back to level.
Can anyone tell me if that is normal please.

Apart from that it's a great machine and I am very happy to be riding it, as you can tell from the mileage. I went from a 2011 1200GS to this and I'm glad I did.

Thanks in advance.

The Dynamic ESA needs to have the bike moving before it decides what to do with the suspension, as long as it works when you ride the bike is the important thing.
Will you damage when moving it with the ignition off, I wouldn't have thought so.

Noticed today that the normal ROAD mode damping is back to how it was. Strange, but then it is me we're talking about, scitso ocd psyccho bipolar weirdo, and that's on a good day.
