Suspension

As I said, I want to change as it wallows when loaded. Even if I do wind up the damping, it's no good. I've experienced good suspension and this isn't it.

Of course you can ride around the problem, it's not *that* bad, just mildly annoying and I need an excuse to fettle me bike!

I had this same problem with mine and the bike wallowed in fast corners and when loaded. I fitted Hyperpro springs at around £65 each. Bingo, bike handles great and doesn't wallow at all.

Has anyone just upgraded the front shock? After spending my entire biking life on Ducatis with telepathic handling it seems like the front tyre on my GSA is sending me post cards via Royal Mail telling me what it's up to. Apart from a wet man hole cover tying the bike in a knot not had any real problems but would like it better. Brakes seem a bit dull too, what's wrong with having a lever, a pipe and a caliper?

Advice?

Nail hit on the head!! The bike will not handle like a Ducati no matter whhat you do but it ain't half bad compared to some of the big trailie's i've ridden:eek:

got wilbers on my 1100 these are built to your specification i.e your weight + luggage and or pillion the bike feels more stable and is significantly smoother on rough surface and comes with a five year warranty and was under £800.00 but you pays your money and takes your choice:nenau

I'm in the market for some new shocks at the moment for an 1100gs, did you get these recently if so who from and what did you pay for them?

Thanks also a John - with a GS:beerjug:

front & rear to your settings i've had them about eight months they were £780.00 i think definatly under £800.00, might have gone up since.

Thanks for the info, I asked them for a quote a while ago started at £860 ish and came down to £820 I guess the price difference is down to the euro to pound fluctuation.
In fairness to them (Pete) he was really helpful but it just seemed like a lot of money to be lavishing on an 11 year old bike.

if you intend to keep it as in my case yes it is an investment if you dont obviously not but they cheaper than ohlins if they are as good or better you would need to find someone who has tryed both depends on what suits your riding style :nenau

Wilbers ESA

Hi guys,
2 things,
Firstly wilbers now do and ESA shock that plugs into the BMW ESA system, so now you get the best of both worlds, Upgrade shock and the clever ESA system, old Wilbers can also be retro fitted!!!
How good is that!

Also at the moment prices are high because of the Euro but I will always do my best to do you the best deal I can. I dont quote prices as they change daily but again I do my best!!!
