05 r1200gs .hi folks,does anyone know what the standard ,leaving the factory ,front and rear suspension settings are .
basically just as it were new.
reason i ask is i think the previous owner has played about with the c spanner ,and i want to talk it back to where i can start from

From the manual:

Front

(Stage 1 = Fully clockwise viewed from above.)

3rd stage for metalled road
5th stage for loose surface
9th stage for off road

Rear

Preload:
One up - turn knob as far as it'll go counter-clockwise and then turn 10 clicks clockwise.
Two up/luggage/off road - turn knob as far as it'll go clockwise

Damping:
Basic - Turn screw fully clockwise then 1 1/2 turns counter clockwise.

FWIW when I had standard shocks I ran 3rd or 2nd stage (depending on tyres used) on the front and full preload on the rear (one up & two up) with 2 to 2 1/2 turns on the damping. I weigh 88kg.
