Just removed swing arm to check/grease bearings and O/S pin has a bit of a flat spot worn on it(see pics)
Is this type of wear anything to worry about or should I just re use it.

I can't tell you if that's a problem or not, but for comparison here's what mine looked like at 64K miles when I refurbed the back end late last year....

Question is what has caused that wear

What state are swingarm bearings in?

All bearings replaced by Mikeyboy when he rebuilt FD in 2017 @ 45k now on 70k.
Will check bearings tomorrow.

Chances are that current swingarm bearings are good and that pin is fine to use, or I can't see Mikey reusing it. Wear prob occurred before that. But def worth checking the offside swingarm bearing is good - feel rotation and check inner race seating surface visually

Still fully packed with grease and inner surface of bearing looks fine. Rotation is smooth and I can't discern any movement at 90° to rotation. Inner bearing bushing moves in and out side ways about 1mm(same as n/s) but it also 'rocks' taking it out of parallel with outer bearing case(n/s does not) see vid if it attaches. //cloud.tapatalk.com/s/5e7f7b7941bea/VID_20200328_162018.mp4

If that's inner race of the bearing moving then the bearing needs replacing - that's likely the cause of the problem. Best do both while you're at it. They aren't a tight fit so should be fairly easy to get out. I used BMW ones part 33172311729. They are TRA11729 at Motorworks and are a snip at £27 each! (do check it's the right one for your bike too)

Does anyone know the generic bearing number? That sounds more expensive than it needs to be.

Don't know if pivot pin ok to reuse as hard to see from photos how bad the wear is. Used one from Motorworks is £13 so if that is better condition might be worth replacing

They are taper roller bearings, they will always have movement without any preload.
That's interesting, I'm not an engineer just a self taught enthusiast that hates paying for stuff I can do. So do you think that play in the vid is acceptable?

Absolutely, its not play as the inner race is separate from the outer race. Once you refit and set the preload there will be no play. Just push the inner race in with you finger and rotate to check for any roughness is a simple test of a taper.

Maybe I'm wrong

When I replaced the bearings 18 months ago there was far less play than i saw in the vid, but maybe low quality connection means i what i think i saw is different from the actual play

You can download vid and watch it locally.
The play is more in the o/s bearing than the nearside so think I may as well replace that one while I'm there if it's not too difficult.
I've ordered a used but unworn pin too. Seems it the same part no. for loads of bikes.

It's not play in the bearing. Taper use preload to adjust any play. A brand new bearing will be exactly the same.

Thanks, every day's a school day.
I did push the pin inwards and there wasn't any play so I'm happy to just replace the pivot pin.
Just concerned as to how the wear occurred in the last 25k since bearings were fitted, although I didn't see the pin at that point.
The only thing I can think of is the fact that most of the time I'm 2 up and at least 10k would've been with luggage too.
