I want to connect my Starcom1 Bluetooth adaptor to my bike (R1150GSA). I need to use a switched power supply, and from reading previous posts, it appears the horn is best part of the electrics to splice to, which has a switched supply, apparently. I would splice it to the same power lead connected to my Starcom1 unit, but that's wired straight to the battery, causing it to remain permanently on.
Question:
So, short story: on the wires to the horn unit, do I splice to the brown wire or the green wire? Or does it make a difference?
The Bluetooth adaptor only needs to splice to one wire, as the "0V connection" (as the installation guide tells me), comes from the lead which connects the Bluetooth adaptor to the Starcom1 unit.
My electrical knowledge is minimal to say the least, so any help is much appreciated!
