I have used search and read the various posts on the problems of the indicator microswitches going tits-up.

My LHS indicator is now not working - hazards ok so looking at the switch.

It seems that a number of people found the elusive microswitch in the past and may have purchased more than one to benefit from qty discount or spread the cost of delivery.

If anyone has one lying around and would like to recoup some beer tokens, please let me know.

Alternatively if anyone found a cure or has some LHS switch gear lying around I'll welcome any info.
Thanks for reading.:thumb

Has anyone done this with the clutch lever switch? Mine will only start in neutral.

That will be you side-stand switch gone, not the clutch switch. If it thinks the side stand is down you can only start in neutral, you cannot start it in gear with clutch pulled in. If you know someone with a GS911 you can use it to see if it thinks the stand is down or not. I believe there are some old threads in here on how to bypass the side stand switch too; helpful if you don't have access to a GS911

- I just need to find a switch!!

You can try cleaning the switch. I've been successful - latex membrane off, lots of WD40. Needs recleaning out every couple of years.

When my bike stopped starting in gear it turned out to be the switch on the clutch lever, side stand switch was fine.
I had it replaced during a service and it's not done it since.

It could be either the sidestand or clutch switch preventing it starting in gear.

I had to replace the clutch switch on mine - got it from Motorworks as part of a service items order.

It's not the side stand switch, because if it was the engine would stop as soon as you put it into gear as it would think that you were about to pull away with the stand down.

Hope you get it sorted quickly, good luck.
