Any body else got this problem, I wonder - and if so have you found a cure (apart from the obvious return it to dealer one)

Over the last few weeks I've noticed that I was gettng an annoying rattle type noise in my System 5 helmet when the front chin vent was open. I assumed it was something inside the vent, or the cable for my Autocom mike inside the chin bar, blowing in the draft as it stopped as soon as the vent was closed.
Today it got really annoying and I decided to investigate further - turns out it is the vent piece itself, the peice which flicks up to open the duct, it rattles when in the open postition.
It didn't do it when I first bought it 6 months ago so I assume the thing has worn loose.
Had a look at trying to get it off to see whats going on but I'll break it I'm sure.

Anybody got one that does the same and have you found an easy cure? (I know I could tape it up but the vent works well and I want the thing to work properly)

Me too !

Especially annoying in the draft of other vehicles. In still air, it seems OK.

I have an 1150 GSA ADV with standard screen, but have fitted a "touring" air deflector to the top, which does deflect enough air to make a difference.

If you find a cure or get a result from BMW, please let me know.

Cheers

Mine is behind a Vario screen but is just as bad if I stick me head out into the breeze.

There must be others having the same problem - or maybe you haven't figured out what the annoying noise is yet.
Let me know as the case will strengthen the more there are
