System 5 V Schuberth C2

Another rant about the system 5.........
Bought one just before Christmas as i wanted a flip front and thought it was great. Seemed quiet, comfy and the autocom went straight in. Then i went for a proper ride in sub zero conditions, arrghhhh. Not so much fog, just blurry vision
The chin visor always seems to end up shut despite my best efforts to keep it open and the finnish is poo. All in all i'm no longer too enamoured with it. I had an AGV titech before the BM lid which was relatively quiet, well vented, never fogged up, had a great finish and generally felt like it was worth £300. Why did i sell it
Does anybody know whether the schuberth C2 is any better than the BM lid. I tried one on at the bike show and thought the chin release was better on the BM lid but that is no longer top priority.
I would like a quiet flip front but at the moment feel like getting another AGV.
Anybody else think the same or am i just a 26yo Victor Meldrew who wants his cake etc

I have the Schuberth and find it a great lid, quiet, easy to use, great combination of ventilation and the flip down sun visor is just brilliant.

Schuberth actually make the lids for BMW to their specifications I might add!

I tried a C2 on today at the London show and found it was not for me. The chinguard was touching my chin and it just felt soooooooo claustrophobic. I was surprised that the fit was so different to the BMW system lids, given that they are made by the same manufacturer.

Just bought a C2 and very impressed. Compared to by 55k Concept it's very quiet although I couldn't compare it to Arais etc.

I need a lid for the missus so i think i'll get a C2 and give her the bm lid
She's not going to use it that much anyway. From what i remember the C2 and BM lid seemed to fit differently when i tried them on. Has any one got both as a comparison?

Ahhh some sunshine and a wee bit of warmth
Just spent the afternoon booling around the North Yorks moors and spent most of the time on the lanes with the visor/chin bar up.
Decided I like this but the system 5 visor just gets wet and blurry on the inside when its down. I like the sound of the C2 but want to ride with the visor up on the slow stuff. Is it really that bad or can the fogging problem on the S5 be sorted?

No probs at all with the C2 riding with the chin bar up... if it's a proper fit in the first place!

Ive fitted a Hyper optics visor insert on my system 5 and its staying fog free in the cold and damp

Had my C2 for 3 weeks now. Seems ok. Just a bit of a fiddle locking the guard into position enough to depress the pins.

Very happy with it though.

No problem with fogging on my C2 and certainly never encountered any problem with riding with it up. If it's "wobbly and rubbish" I would suggest you return it for repair as it must be faulty.

Shuberth C2

Hi Guys, just read your threads on the C2 which I also bought a few days ago to replace my old System 4. Really pleased with it, lighter more comfy loads ventilation etc etc BUT......I must be doing something wrong!!! first sign of rain and it fogged up terribly, Whats the answer???? tryed to get a pinlock for it but was told they don't make one, are the Fog city inserts any good???? many thanks Del.
