I'd like to fit a tankbag to my 700GS. Not too big a one and one with a map pocket, ideally. I want to keep a Starcom intercom inside it and and power it from the 12v power point next to the ignition key. So, I need a bag that won't cover the power point. I see that Givi do a couple of large ones - EA110B and GRT705 but I'm not sure if they would get in the way of the power outlet. Has anyone fitted a bag that would do the job I need it to?

You could have a look at Bags conection by SW motech A friend runs a similar set up to the one you describe albeit on a 1200

I've a Wunderlich tankbag on my F800 GSA which sits on its own harness. It clears the socket and has a little rubber grommet in it to enable you to thread a power cable through. The map pocket is separate and clips on top of the bag. All very expensive at £200+ but very well made.

I've got a bag that came off my 800GSA, doesn't cover the power socket but hasn't got any holes in it for leads. I used to run mine through the zip hole. Only used for one trip, let me know if you're interested.

Hello Mikey,
Thankyou for your reply. Could you could tell me the make and model, please. Presumably, it straps on. How much would you want for it? Regards.

re tank bag

I purchased the harness for the SW motech, vouager tank bag. But i have hit a problem with it.

with the harness bolted into position, the tank bag is fouling the ignition key and wont lock into position, has any one else had this problem.

I have checked SW web site and the harness part No is correct for gs700.

I have the same set up, and I've got a power board in the bag with 2 usb sockets and 2 standard cig sockets - highly recommend the wunderlich kit, got the matching tail pack also!

I started with a BMW tank bag which I found too high (sorry don't recall model) and ended up with a small Touratech bag with a Velcro removable map pocket, which I never used. I ran a power lead through the zip.

The BMW bag was a much better quality, just too big for me.
