I have a new GS1200ADV and cant find a decent tank bag (thats not baglux) that fits. The problem seems to be the handlebar strengthener bar that goes across one side of the handle bars to the other. It prevents the bags that I've tried (Touratech and wunderlich) from sitting far forward enough to line up the tank filler.

Any ideas or recommendations please.

Try the FAMSA bags available at Winding Roads ?

They even include a harness for the offset filling cap fitted to my R1100S :thumb

They are at: Famsa Bags for BMWs

One of the attractions is they do a model that is nice and small - if all you want is a day bag. :thumb

Thx Scotty but had one on the old GS 1150 and found that it didn't fit quite right and stored two years wirth of fly carcasses inside when reomoved. Also a git to fit. Tx anyway

Using a Touratech "One day" bag on my 1200GSA and find that it fits very well and very earsy to remove when filling up i.e. undo it at the front and flip it back over the seat :thumb

Hi, I have a 1200GS and use BMW's own tank-bag. This bag sits no-where near the handlebars and simply hooks under the chassis plate on the frame, then zips to a mounting strip which is held on the tank by seriously strong double sided tape. The bag has a large capacity and doesn't budge when riding.

There's nearly always one for sale on ebay, which is where I bought mine from - brand new at half the cost from BMW dealers.

Good luck!! :thumb
