Had a baglux tankcover and bag on my VFR and Pan European. Great pieces of kit and very useful. However disappointed that on the GS I seem to only be able to get the Shibuya bag from baglux to go with the tank cover. This bag appears to be quite small. Anyone taken the plunge and actually bought this for their GS? If so, is this bag the only one that fits the GS from baglux and what would the general opinion be regarding its suitability and size? See I like to cover the tank and dont trust the others that I am aware of, touratech, BMW and SW motech (although I think their electric socket one appeals). I have a thing about the tank bags moving and scratching the tank. Any thoughts, suggestions, advice.

Zico ( Gooooooooooooooaaaaal!!!! er.. sorry !)

I have an Alpha tank bag thats not big but ok for days out etc. The alpha is pretty good but you can inadvertantly fire off the horn on full lock , as I have twin magnum horns on it gets interesting/noisy in tight supermarket carpark menouvers etc

I am on tour for 10 days or so to Gib' in Sept and bought a larger expandable bag from fleabay that is no longer sold by Baglux . It seperates into 3 bags and has ruckstrap straps on etc so is more flexible.

However I though all Baglux bags fitted the tank covers but this one didn't :blast
It has magnets in the baseplate/mapcase bit .

I called Baglux in Abergele and they sold me the front webbing and buckles and the rear patch with the metal clasps attatched. I plan to measure and mark the baseplate and take it to a saddler / tarp / sail maker / cobbler to get it attatched with h/duty sewing machine.

Just another option if you find a bag you like thats not Baglux.

Good luck , ( alpha bag below )

The SW Motech Quick-Lock range of tankbags "hover" over the tank, since they're fitted to the filler cap mount. There's also some fore and aft adjustment when fitting the tank bank side mount, meaning you can find a position where the bay does not touch the tank at all.

I have both the SW-Motech "Daypack" and "Engage" tankbags. Good pieces of kit, which can be attached and detached in seconds, and no scratched tank!

i have the 12v sw motech and its the mutts nutts.

my sig tells you what i think of baglux...

Thanks for the feedback guys. FBF Im afraid I can only disagree with the baglux description as Ive always found them to fit very well and am a fan of the product.
