Cos I'm a short arse and can't reach the ground

Recieved mine and will be fitting them some time tomorrow, quality looks very good and the fitting looks easy enough, just need to get some lights under the radar next

Which ones have you gone for H&B or SW ? And where did you order them from ?

sw ones from nippy normans have got them to put my hella micro de on as the price is the same as a light bar
just waiting for them and my ballest brackets from the states which are simular to the tt ones which they dont sell seperatly!!!!
then i will have a mean light bar
i chose the sw ones as i got the engine bars from nippys last year

Well took all of 10mins to fit, quality is just as good as the engine bars, nothing much to say about fitting except get em in the righ position before anything is tightened, only downside is they don't look right without some foglights , no doubt that'll be rectified before the end of the month

They look really good, especially with your colour scheme but I'm not sure if they'd suit a bike with black side panels as much. It'd be interesting to see further photos when anybody else gets round to fitting some.

Got to agree, not sure they'd look right with black panels, mind you the GS has always been a matter of taste and if what you ride is dictated by other peoples opinions you need a slap anyway

nice nice nice and yours are the best pictures i have seen showing the mounting brackets for lights and around the price of a lightbar how can some charge £150 for a bar when thease are £110 mmm i know which i would pick
good buy and i dont mind what anyone says look great

still waiting for mine from NN some people get xmas early

I like the look of the tank bars, as I fitted the engine bars over Christmas. It might be next Christmas before I can afford these and some lights though!
The pics look good to me.

Looks like it'll be Hella micro DE's, the SW Motech are too expensive.

Are these bars are to stop the side panels blowing off?? - surely a wingnut and a bolt would be cheaper and more effective.

Here are my new bars against the black side panel: I think they are fine
The tank bars match the frame perfectly.
The down side? Like Ned says, now, I will have to buy some spotlights to mount on them

No, to get the side panels off will require loosening the tank bars: 6 bolts in total, no big deal, makes the side panels less nickable

I can't see that they would give any added protection to that part of the tank its just cosmetic the handle bars and engine bars would hit the deck first waste of money on a Boxer twin ...

Not true. And the cosmetic tank panel costs more than these crash bars.

... and I can endorse the strength of the engine bars !!

just got mine and my hella xenons x2 and my brackets that enable the ballests to be fit(from states same as tt ones) and piaa switch and non splicing connection from bm (only £12) should have everything fitted next month cant wait

the bars are great and easy to mount lights on
