Tank Decals - R1100GS

Well my pride and joy is almost ready to leave the garage after a strip down, blast and re-paint and the finishing touch will be some GS decals for the black tank.

Not cheap at £56 for the 2 but I will be fitting them this weekend.
So is the best way to wet and dry the tank to a fine matt surface, stick the self adhesive decals on and then petrol resistant clear laquer over the top (maybe a couple of coats).

Just don't want to cock it up....

if you can handle it the r1100gs "modified by TT" decals are much cheaper,should turn up round about the time the grandchildren are old enough to ride......

Yep I saw a cheaper set the day after I'd ordered these from the dealer, so I've just had to bite the bullet on that one.

He's a Tosser like us who does some amazing quality decals... I've purchased a number from him and rate them highly...

I'm a graphic designer by trade so hate the OEM 1100 decals which are soooo 80's with their script typeface. Which is why I've opted for the GSA style big bold GS in the mandarin colour scheme.

Just wish I'd have bought the reflective versions for £23 for 2

if I ever get round to painting my 1100,the plan is to use a scalpel leaving R1100GS modified...

Thanks for the link to Humvee-graphics, I will be having my tank repaired soon & was wondering where to get the GS stickers from.

Plus I think I'll act like a tart & get some of those cool 1150 GSA beak stickers as well.
