Can I put an ADV tank straight onto my 1150?

YES...........but you wont be able to see the road over the top of it !

Yep..........done it.
You can even swap your fuel pump & filler cap over to it although the fuel guage will work differently. It shows the fuel dropping at a similar rate to the original tank & then the warning light coming on, as usual. But you get around 100-120 miles from then on.....
Great range but heavy when full. I was teasing guys I was riding with from my hotel at the TT last year. They were on Gixer thou's & had to refuel every 2-3 laps whereas I could go for 6-7 before having to stop. I threatened them with syphon tubing & "inflight" refuelling 'cos they nicknamed it "The Supertanker"........

Called in Williams in Manchester on Sat and saw a rather sad looking silver ADV with the front ripped off (anyone here?). Asked if it was a right-off as I'm desperate for a 'big one'
. Thinking of calling all B*W dealers in the country on the off chance there might just be one around ....somewhere.Steve B
