Tankbag security

Any advice on making a tankbag secure when parking the bike? Are some bags better in this respect than others?

in light of recent personal experience, even being sat on the bike is not effective.

When travelling abroad, I try & fit everything in my panniers, leaving the topbox nearly empty. When I park up, tank bag & helmet go in the top box for security. If I have to lock the helmet to the bike, I'll remove dark visor & put that in topbox also.

I saw a Bandit 600 recently with a long plastic covered chain through the t/bag handle & a frame rail. Would deter opportunistic thieves but not someone determined to take it?
