AutoGlym "Intensive Tar Remover" does wot it says on the (plastic) tin :thumb

Tar removal

I have always used WD 40 and clean off with a rag. Good for all parts of the bike............doesnt scratch and doesn't affect metal colouration.

:)

White Spirit. Dirt cheap and can be used on the engine between the fins without doing any harm too.

A bird crapped on my bike so I told her I wouldn't go out with her anymore.

Gunk - spray on engine degreaser.....the best stuff for tar. Get it from Halfords.

one week riding the little roads on the coast of Ireland and the salt eat away the tar. And the bike too.

had this very problem myself only just last week , cow-muck "welded" onto the header pipes , tried everything to get the stuff off, wd40, de-greaser, gunk etc but nothing would work then i remember the blue bottle of "polish" in the corner..MER .. and it works! brings the pipes up a treat too.. amazing little bottle .
