Well my tax disc has been carried in the tank bag for as long as I can remember ... probably fifteen years or more
Never been stopped, never been a problem, never got wet and it never got stolen

How the hell do you get a tax disc that lasts four years? 
I disappointed a Welsh Policeman once.
He was upset to learn that Irish Bikers keep their tax discs in their wallet, that we dont have 'MOTs', that a white No. Plate was legal and that i didn't have to translate my 'Gaelge' name into English for him and most of all...
that he couldn't do a damn thing about any of this.

Welcome Malcolm. You'll have noticed that you get the pish ripped out of you on here when you thought you asked a simple question. But under all the piss-taking you will almost always find the answer to all your bike and non-bike related questions. And don't worry that the question may have been asked and answered a 100 times. Heres my 2p worth.
My tax disc used to live behind left pot as per others above (finally found the pic):

And contrary to the regulations for displaying a tax disc on a motorcycle.
Mind you,the other location wasn`t fully in accordance either........
when i picked mine up from the dealer it was fitted under the left cilynder guard got wet on the first wash, I took it off and laminated it and its been in my wallet ever since, I was thinking of on the side of the top box area.

Very shoddy. Please make an effort to get the print horizontal and correctly orientated.
Other than that, the bike's a credit to your polishing skills.

What kind of Dealer sends a bike out with the Tak Disc stuck on the screen?
Could it be a BM Car Dealer that has decided that it is now a Bike Specialist?

actually, the version of English spoken in that there Luhndun has been mangled to an unidentifiable gibberish.
So,
it's no wonder the Furriners come here to learn the Queens English.

I suspect it's a dealer who has lots of sticky screen tax disc holders and thinks sticking them on the screen is a good place to put the disc
