Can I just say at this juncture that it is no longer the job of the rozzers to 'do' one for failing to display. As all tax discs are now computer recorded there is no need for the bobbies to have any interest. The days of the £30 ticket for failing to display went out years ago. The only reason a bobby will stop you nowadays if you dont have one on display ( and this generally apllies mostly to cars) is because most of the toe raggs who use cars and dont have a tax disc are generally uninsured etc etc. I keep mine in exactly the same posistion as that shown in the top photo and it is acceptable to the law enforcing plod. Believe me...I am Ze Law and you vill respect mah authoritay !!!!!![]()
Lets see then - hands up ANYONE who has EVER been done for failing to display - or even knows someone who has![]()
over 5000 on the site and I'll be surprised if i cant count the number on one hand![]()
If you take out the bolt that supports the silencer on you can fix it there.
Vertical and facing out. Conforms to the law and its out of the way.
I have mine mounted there in a fancy water proof holder like the one in the first thread.

I've a bit of bracket on the bike from a snapped tax disc holder - if i'm stopped, i feign surprise at my now missing tax holder.Must have fallen off, or been stolen officer

Lucky people you. We don't have nice things like tax discs here in France. Come to think of it nor do we have MOTs on bikes.
