Im thinking of getting some tck80s for winter use
do you think this is a good idea.

When I had my Tourances fitted at F&B in Sandbach - which is just up the road from you - he told me that he has started stocking TKCs. I seem to remember the price being £120/pair ride-in ride-out (but check with him for the actual price)

Note some people think they're not as good in wet (winter !) I think they're fine, and certainly the tops if you meet gravel etc - in fact in deeper water I think they cut through better than road tyres. Takes a bit of getting confidence in them on damp etc roads. I swear by 'em, many swear at 'em in wet. Cheap to try though

I run TCK's all year, excellent tyres

They should be fitted to all GSs.

Fine on the 650 and great all summer on the 1150.

I get mine through National Tyres. Couple of days notice as not always in stock. I think most of their premises have bike tyre facilities.
