I am going to order a pair of those. I am usually a size 10 (44) with my normal shoes (walking boots, trainers etc.). Could anyone from experience say that I should order the same size regarding the boots. Thanks
JC

I got a 12 and i wear 12's normally. They felt really tight at first but soon slacken off but i had thought id ordered wrongly.

Awesome boots. Although after 1 ride in the salt the metal studs turned horrible and orange - i have no inclination to wash boots or fs365 them.

I also got mine for £79.99!:D:D

every pair of bike boots i have had are a size bigger than my normal footwear
it allows for a bit more comfort with thicker socks

Like you, I wear size 44 normally, I have just nipped out to the garage and my TCX boots are 45. I did try on the 44's bit they were just a tad short!!

Maybe I should go to a shop try some to confirm the size before ordering.

Thanks guys for the input

I got a pair Saturday from Bike Stop in Stevenage. I am usually a size Euro 45 but a 46 fitted me better. I paid £170 but it was worth the extra to sit down and try several pairs on and get the correct fit. Plus they are not too far away and provide exelent service.

Thanks JoeC, I did saw them in my search, I have now found thanks to our friends in Ireland a shop that sell the boots slightly cheaper £142 (special offer). But Top Gear is my second choice.

Worth having a word with Top Gear and say you can get them for £142 and they might be able to match it or come close. Personally, if you don't ask you don't get.
Also, even if they did not match the price I would be tempted to buy from them 'cos if there should be any faults with the boots then it would be easier to discuss it with them rather Ireland. That's if 'your Irish friends' you were talking about Ireland.

I'm thinking of popping down to Bexhill to try on the TCX Infinity RiDE Best Buy boot as don't want to buy without trying on.

If these are the same as the Oxtar Infinity GTX I would say go a size up i.e if you take a 44 normally, buy a 45. You can always wear thicker socks if needed.

Thanks guy for all the info. I called my local bike shop, they sell them for £171, i did ask for a price match but the guy said he could not do it. I am going to go there and try a pair and see how they feel and get the right size. After that I will get them from the Net. I don't feel too wicked about that as I have spent a small fortune down his shop and the guy could make an effort.

Just finished talking with TopGear Superstore, and I have ordered them for £145 delivered. I went for a 45, the guy told me that if I need to exchange them I could send them back and they would pay for the P&P. I have asked if they could do that price to people from this site and he said yes.
JoeC, thanks for pointing out to try the matching out of the price. Finally I am going to have some warm feet.

Just received my boots this morning, very fast delivery from TopGear. £145 delivered not a bad price. I went for the 45 at the end and they fit nicely.

Just ordered same.

Thanks Jeanot, just ordered the same size 45 from your Top Gear fellow for £145 delivered, a small saving, but that's what makes subscibing to this site worthwhile. :thumb

Now that you have had your boots for a couple of months how have you found them?
Looking at popping down to them to buy a pair. Still doing them for £145.

Whilst I am there I will ask them about a discount scheme!

They have been great so far, saying that I did not got out on big heavy rain day :augie, but cold wise no problem. They were a bit stif first to put on but just fine now. And they look good too.

Joe,

Are Top gear doing them for £145, as their website says £167?

Bob
Give them a call (01424 215944) and they will do for £145. They have no 8's in at present (due end of April) but have got 7 and 9's at least.

I've done about 4K wearing the TCXs over the past couple of months. They're much more comfy than the BMW and HG variants. They're as good as any goretex boot, fully waterproof and are just about ok for walking/hobbling about 5 miles around London in :(

As for warm, I dunno... I keep my heated soles in and on :)

But they're a perfect match for the GS, as you'll find the shiny studs on the boots will go nice and rusty too.
