Summary as follows
Zumo 550
Nokia 5800 Express
Autocom kit 300 pro rider with Bluetooth dongle in Aux 1 and gps wire to Zumo from Aux 2
1. Nokia paired direct to autocom, Zumo switched off,and no problem with audio or microphone on headset.
2. Autocom not paired to Zumo, Nokia paired to Zumo. Audio on phone works and all phone functions operate. Obviously no voice as headset is only wired in and not paired for microphone. Normal volumes. Can ring out and hear person at other end.GPS and music work fine
3. Nokia paired to Zumo and Zumo paired to Autocom headset. Zumo setting on audio to Bluetooth phone only. As soon as i make a call the phone symbol appears but I have no audio other than a few odd sounds (feedback?) The call gets through to the other person but I cant hear them and they cant hear me. If I disconnect via zumo sometimes the phone connection then drops out.
4. When Nokia is paired to Zumo and Zumo to Autocom and the Zumo is set to Bluetooth phone only, the GPS and music volume is perfect as it comes through the wired connection. If I change to GPS/Music and phone through Bluetooth the audio drops by about 90% and with interference. And of course I cant hear the audio or be heard although the phone does connect.
All very confusing . I have tried a nokia n95 which used to work fine with this set up but that also has developed the same problem. As soon as I pair the Zumo to the Autocom things start to go wrong.
The impression I get is that everything is fine until the Bluetooth microphone comes into play.
Anyone any ideas. Garmin tell me that the 5800 should be compatible with the Zumo.
