Just picked up T-Max number I don't know. And Mk2 blackmax number 3.

Few years since the last one, but this was too cheap to pass up.

Totally agree.
For some reason Brit bikers need to conform to some stupid perceived image of what’s cool, which to them is more important than riding pleasure.
It’s the same with Goldwings etc. Most have never ridden one yet vainly state they’d rather walk or be in a car cage.
Dunno how it came about as over on mainland Europe they couldn’t give a fuck.
But it is very amusing reading some of the blinkered ignorant comments on here and elsewhere .

i have my Tmax 560 few months now, bought it used with low miles - looked after. 2020/2021 model tech max, love it more over the x adv's ive had. much better handling, the cock-ology of the rear tyre size for the xadv was vey annoying - such limited tyre choice. .Over the dct, the cvt takes a bit of getting used to and its not a frugal as the xadv. but it aint deal breaker.

i want to upgrade to the newer t-max model, but they are 17k euro in Ireland! thats A LOT.


here's an idea - im surprised bmw have not gone down the road of re-inventing the C 650 sport or C 650 GT , I reckon theyd sell ?

Yeah but BMW would charge £17k for it ,and then flog you a comfort seat for another £300

They're also very cliquey, when I had my Aprilia Sr max 300, I joined them, hoping to get some good advice, and banter.
What a waste of time, it seemed a small group dominated the threads, and any suggestions, comments or opinions were shot down....unless it came from the group.
I think the medical term is: stuck up ones own arse.

I had the opposite experience on MaxiMuppets, having been encouraged to join thanks to Robbo on this forum who has owned loads of Tmax including the bike I now ride.

A couple of guys over in USA with mega mileage Tmax's were quite helpful with advice.

The is a very good facebook group - Yamaha TMax Techmax 560 UK owners group and another one - yamaha TMax owners group UK (500, 530 and 560).

Both groups are good.

Just got back from a 600 mile trip to N Yorks to visit Ripon Cathedral and Fountains Abbey. Rode up Sunday and back Tuesday. Really comfortable and enjoyed the ride. Went with a mate on his GS and I didn't get left behind
