tell me about your 1190

Andres ... Which site did you get your pegs from ..?

£160

They'd better be good ..... :D

:thumb2

I'm sure the Pyramid ones I've seen are only gloss??? Time to look again.................

EDIT - Davy, yours is for the Std 1190 - Pyramaid don't do one for the R (different radius on the guard 'cos of the 21" wheel)
Andres

Another little heads up with those with an 'R' - I took a punt on the Pyramid extender which they say doesn't fit and...........it does............and it's also the same finish as the original mudguard :)

i'm just going to slacken the fixing bolts on mine. dab of loctite - job done :)

my 1190 seems to have developed a typical trail attack weave when slowing down from 40mph, no hands on the bars.

suppose i'd better hang on then :)

Mine did something like that this morning on the way into work - a flattened drinks bottle got blown by a gust of wind under my front wheel - proper woke me up that did! :D

Sooooo................. I've never had Trail Attacks before, how many miles before I have to start holding onto the bars?

Andres

i've had several pairs, and this is the first one that's done it. 2600 miles.

plenty of anecdotal evidence on this site though.

A thousand miles to go then...............watch this spot :)

So far, I have to say, I'm very impressed with the tyres - cold, wet, warm or dry they seem to be very predictable and, well, do what they should I guess.

Andres

of course, i haven't checked the tyre pressures since, um, ever, so might have a look at that

that's what TPS is for innit :augie

now i come to think of it, i did think it was dropping into corners a bit when i first got on it this morning. thought i just wasn't used to it, as i hadn't ridden it for a couple of months :P

Here you go Giles, as requested.....................

Just prior to fitting them I lowered the gear lever one 'notch' - ideally it'd be perfect at 1/2 a 'notch' IYSWIM but with the Pivot Pegz it's now spot on as I guess the fact the peg moves makes the lever position less important. Anyway, done a hundred miles or so since fitting and, as ever, I'm very pleased with them. They also make standing on the pegs and changing gear as you enter Tesco's carpark much easier :thumb
Oh, and they're lovely and shiny :)

Andres

Aha. Very good, and certainly shiny. I completely agree about the placement of the gear lever. (size 11 boots here). I've been looking for an adjustable lever but nobody seems to make one - I could do with a 'half' notch worth of movement to get it perfect and I guess the movement of the pegs could solve this.

Not sure you should have the bike on the front room on the carpet though .... :D

Was it pressures in the end? I've gotta say the front on mine seems to keep pressure ok but the rear tyre needs a few pounds bunging in on pretty much a weekly basis making me wonder how air tight KTMs tubeless spoked wheels are?
