Was it pressures in the end? I've gotta say the front on mine seems to keep pressure ok but the rear tyre needs a few pounds bunging in on pretty much a weekly basis making me wonder how air tight KTMs tubeless spoked wheels are?

I think there is a rubber rim seal / "bladder" which can be prone to leaking, especially if it gets damaged when changing tyres...

i checked the pressures and they were a fair bit down. maybe half a bar? i was surprised the TPS hadn't triggered.

i went out for a ride and never noticed anything untoward, but forgot to specifically check for the wobble by taking my hands off the bars

Another little heads up with those with an 'R' - I took a punt on the Pyramid extender which they say doesn't fit and...........it does............and it's also the same finish as the original mudguard

Edit: When I 'offered' it up it looked like it'd fit, honest - just tried fitting it this afternoon and whilst it looks cosmetically ok it doesn't 'quite' fit which means it won't sit flush inside the guard meaning the plastic pop rivets are too short.

I can't be arsed mucking around with it so if anybody wants it let me know and I'll bung it in the post (minus one plastic pop rivet)

Personally, I never use the rivets/self tappers supplied with fender extenders. I just put more double sided tape on and seal the 'join' with silicone sealer. Never had one fall off yet. It would be worth taking the front guard off to see just how well it actually fits before giving up.

I did Davy, the recess of the 'extender' doesn't quite match the shape of the end of the mudguard (only obvious once you remove the guard) so it doesn't seat flat IYSWIM - there's a good 3-4mm gap where it doesn't seat. I could re-profile the shape of the bottom of the guard but can't be arsed

Today has been a good blokey fettling day, with a bit of a hoon thrown in. The roads are filthy, wet, cold, slimey .... and the KTM has just lapped it up. It is an astonishingly good bike. Before choosing between the standard and the R, I had concerns that the 21'' front wheel on the road would be a compromise, (in particular it's skinnyness) but I've found nothing but sure footedness and relaxed neutral steering. Yes, we need dry summer tarmac to really start pushing, but for the moment ... the front feels rock solid.

Ive popped into see Chris Tunner and have stuck a pair of Super Duke mirrors on the bike (he has some on a 950). I'm keen to see if they i/ cut down on the turbulance (esp for the pillion) and ii/ whether they compromise my rear view. (They dont .. and I think they look better so will probably look for some on ebay). I didn't notice much difference in the turbulence if I'm honest.

After a hoon home, I got to play for the first time with santas presents.

Why did I never buy snow foam / maguires gold car shampoo / bike dryers before

The stuff is bloody brilliant! I forgot to take pics of the snow foam, but the bike was absolutely minging, I mixed it half and half with maguires shampoo and completely coated the bike. I only spent a few minutes actually 'agitating' the suds, (but left the stuff on there for about 15) and then rinsed off.

Then ..... feck me .... the doggy grooming dryer is just awesome!! So awesome in fact, that I just had to video it much to the distress of my missus (who called me a 'sad fuck' )

The end product is simply no water anywhere (hubs, dash, spoke nipples, manifolds ... ) and the bodywork looks like its come out the show room. No towels, no microfibre cloths ... just hot air.





I've (sigh ... I'm so ashamed that I have to be a follower .... of Andres FFS .... ) have got the dynax and surflex stuff from Elitecarcare.co.uk .



At about 30% concentration, the surflex has brought the chain and sprockets up a treat - 5 mins with a bristle brush and just rinse with water.



And ive had a quick squirt of dynax on pretty much every fastening, nut, bolt, clip I can find. It seems pretty transparent, I guess only time will tell if the waxy film then attracts dirt and starts to look mucky.

As one who hates cleaning bikes I could certainly benefit from this set-up.

just curious to know where the bike dryer's from and approx cost.

Also, I assume you applied the foam with the pressure washer attachment?

I gave my missus a wish list this Christmas, and a lot of it was cleaning stuff that kids, parents etc all chipped in to.

The snow foam needs a dispenser and a jetwash. (I have a karcher but only ever used it as a straight jetwash) so bought a karcher

For, what ... , five quid? it's a really good idea! spray and squirt till yer heart is content, safe in the knowledge that you're not going to put half a gallon of water down the exhaust. I'd forgotton about that ...

Spoke to my mate at my dealers and he said a selective few were having the starter motor replaced and he'll look into it for me. I did have a recall and a new centre stand fitted last month.

Maguires Gold Class and CarPlan Demon snow foam.

To be honest, Whilst I was fussy about getting that particular shampoo, I wasn't too fussed which snow foam I got, and as Halfords sold a few things I needed (including the Maguires shampoo) I got snow foam from them, and plumbed for that. (so my choice of snow foam pretty random).

I'd read on here that snow foam was mostly just that - sticky foam, and that to get the best out of it, mix it with a good quality shampoo. And yes, mixed 'em both up in the Karcher bottle ....

You should be able to buy it in 1 ltr squirty bottles (Halfords etc). I buy it in 25ltr drums for...............£25.

Premier fitted this update to my bike just before Christmas, makes a big difference to the turnover speed, no lethargic chug anymore.
