tell me about your 1190

Anyone else had to have the shock replaced? Fault code came on and outcome was a new shock and suspension ECU were needed.

One of the reasons I bought the R, less to go wrong with the White Power conventional suspenders.

Have those of you that have experienced this done some home mechanics and lifted your tank ?? (trapped a breather pipe somewhere putting it back ??) ...

It was a fault on the early bikes, a hole wasn't clear in the petrol cap to allow it to vent when pressure built up, can't speak for Andrés bike though.

Yes, but that was 800 miles ago and it's only just started doing this. Couldn't find anything obvious this morning so I'll pop into Leisure Trail during the week.............

Random 1190 stuff from my visit to Leisure Trail today:

They bunged on the new 'starting' map. I've never had a starting issue and notice no difference.

On the way there the bike started running rough under 3000 rpm. A complete bodywork strip down revealed a loose coil pack/plug cap on the front plug. New plugs and coil pack fitted.

Whilst stripped down all vents/hoses etc where checked to see why I was getting fuel fumes when hot in town. Nothing found and it was confirmed that I have the later (no issues) filler cap. They decided it *could* be the heat reflecting blanket that comes with the Wings side panels not allowing heat to escape so well and heating the tank up that it has to vent? I'm not convinced but will remove the blanket for a trip down south on Friday and see what happens........

My pillion peg brackets now mean they get hit by my heel when the balls of my feet are on the riders pegs.

The 2015 rear rack/grab handles will fit my 2014 and the handles are lower which could be a good thing for Amanda.

You can now get the 2 piece Ergo seat unheated.

You can now get a 1 piece Ergo seat (heated).

The whirring noise you hear when you turn the ignition on is not as I thought the fuel pump but the throttle stepper motors.

Er, I think that's all............

........another random thing I forgot to mention is there is now a 'Powerparts' air filter for 'dusty conditions' - looks very similar to a DNA filter?
