Temptation - 1911 .22lr

I believe we’re allowed night vision or thermal scopes as long as they’re hand held, weapon mounted night scopes are illegal

Bet you can find all the parts in an airsoft store. Thats funny part can use them on an airsoft gun with no paperwork but not a .22 for rabbit shooting

the first rule of being incharge is stay in charge.... and that involves getting rid of guns and people who might have an different opinion from those people who are in charge...

Hence the USA stance however i feel they have gone to the other extreme (an argument i dont want started here)

Plus add Ireland into it then the importing gets seriously expensive
that's the joy and to problem of living on a island... anyone wants to visit they'll get their feet wet, the problem if you want anything you need to trade and trade costs money... at everystep someone wants a slice outta it...

the US has other issues and no point to talk about them... they can't be solved...

the UK gun scene only has one problem too many organisations all claiming to be the best, who then fail to see that it's a single sport and all taking part are equals....

ukNRA only serves around 10% of the shooting community, then there's CPSA, UKPSA, CSA, LRNRL, CSR, PRS, BASC shootersrights, Sportsmas Asscoiation, countryside alliance? Blackpowder and historical stuff. reneactors, airsofter, airgunners, vermin control and hunters plus some fringe groups that also claim to be representative of shooting... no wonder nothing gets done

most police forces are now trying to claim that modern powders are also included into the explosive act, stuff like pyrodex for example... and the individual has to account for powders in manufactured rounds, as part of their total allowance. (held/ stored powder) which kinda is complex cos how do you know what's in'em...

so it's simpler to get an explosive license, but once you have that your also bound by the H+S act and that's where this can all get very sticky...!
That would explain why the FEO asked me to keep a record of how many bullets I make up at my last renewal. I am so out of the loop with regards to current policy!

Sounds like here, all eager take your money but not help when need it.

There a too many deer associations here and few are setting up groups that only benefit a few of them and alienate the honest hunter who has to work for a living. Seems to be benefits those who seem to be able do it full time

Quite some time ago I was tasked with searching every package coming in to the UK via the postal service. One of the anomalies we came across was NV rifle scopes intended for addresses in Northern Ireland; although these were not part of our remit they were put to one side for investigation, some of the previous posts have now shed light on why. Regardless the post office took the view that as they had been mislabelled by value (£10 instead of £700) they went in the crusher.

if you don't buy manufactured ammo, they could claim your not shooting and so don't need to have a gun..

Well funny part is no issue with them in North either. can walk into a shop, buy with cash and walk out. concern is if they are then been fed back down south.

In EU i can order any of them with no issues just i need license to have it on a rifle in Ireland

They are very popular in UK for air rifle hunters for likes rabbits and rats
