Test ride of Z1000SX

Wifey insisted ( genuinely ) that I bought another Ninja1000SX...so here she is :DD .
Have only managed meagre 250 miles so far, at an astonishing max of 4,000rpm:sleep so now I can up the game
to an eye watering 6,000 rpm :steptoe( I think that equates to 90 miles per hour ) !! Have put a short GR Moto exhaust on
and a radiator cover. 4 year standard warranty as well (y)

Could've bought one (or both) of ours.....

Nice bikes. I had one for 4 years. Great touquey engine. Luved the way you can surprisingly exelerate resonably well from 30 in top gear or be a hooligan and rev the nuts out of it.
Get that running in done 😉

Still got a hankering for one of these, would need to sell my Tmax (two wheeled Swiss Army knife).

Owned a 2018 model for three years, hence buying this one. One of the best all round bikes EVER IMHO.

My Mrs totally agrees with your mrs ; she prefers the SX over the GS or my old ZZR;; there's some cracking deals to be had on the SX and the 900 rs at the moment; :beerjug:

Both of ours will be coming up for sale late this month. Performance Tourer editions, owned from new.

Lovely smooth flexible engine on those had a 2014 one from 2016-18. Comfy for touring (with a Sargent seat) and fast as.

OK.
Both of ours are now officially up for sale/
Bought new from Bournemouth Kawasaki in 2021.
Hers has covered 5829 miles in Black with the orange accents.
Mine has covered 2495 miles in Black with the dark grey/silver accents.
Both still have warranty and don't actually need a service as yet other than the time but Pete at Bournemouth Kawasaki has that noted and cleared.
Both are the Performance Tourer editions - so Akrapovic, panniers, nav mount, etc.
The also have the screen mounted nav/phone bracket made by the Z1000SX forum guy.
The panniers for mine have never been fitted other than the day it was collected and put into the van to bring it back.
Private plate will be put back onto retention on mine.
There's some marks from use as Kwack seem to have switched to fresh air based paint but nothing major in any way.
We spec'd OE heated grips and dual USB charger as part of the purchase so no unsightly Oxford control panel.
Prices are high on these despite the deals that are about but not asking dealers markup either.
Hers is £9250. Mine £9500

I rented one of those (Tmax) in Phuket couple years ago. What a hoot for a scooter!!
Good aren’t they ! In my case, I felt initial regret trading in a litre sports bike for my scoot, but within a few days I had warmed to its character and its practicality. There is little on the road than can match it for a dash to the shops or a commute through heavy UK traffic from town to town. It can really hustle.

I know, my wife has a Vespa 300 and I shamefully admit to riding it more often than either of my behemoths 🤔

………I have fond memories of my Tmax in Thailand. Obliterated everything at the traffic light Moto Gp. Carried shit loads cargo too 👍👍
