Hi all, Today i test rode a 1200GS WAS i surprised!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i never expected that it would be that good, i was blown away with how well it did everything. Testing a GSA next and then i'll buy the one i prefer. Just thought i'd share that one cheers..

Quite so. The Adventure is an "also ran..." when compared to the 1200.

Dinna be daft laddie...:D Ewan and Charley would never have made it on 1200s...too lightweight :P

I think young Sir needs tae be mair respectful tae his elders.....:rolleyes:

It might have been interesting if they'd taken a 1200 and a GSA to see which did, in fact, fare better and which one they found easier to haul out of a Mongolian bog.

Sorry Murdoch:D I think they started with a 1200 but the gearbox clapped out in Lewisham...;)
Wonder why BMW never gave them at least one to try? Definitely be easier to yank out of a bog, but would it be as robust as the ADV? They did take some helluva beating..and still came out of it in better nick than mine :confused:
 
There's a guy planning a RTW trip on a 1200 here...... His initial route doesn't include Mongolian bogs, but it was probably drawn up before the tsunami....:(
