Thank fcuk for Cctv

Some will be along soon, asking for a nice route (twisty roads, no motorways) a cafe and a biker friendly hotel. That's if their wives will let them out.

I'm having problems getting Basecamp and my Nav unit up and running to get there....

First time i've seen a 1200GS without any luggage fitted.... You obviously weren't intending riding anywhere.

Small claims cout costs less yhan £100 to get going and has a £5k max claim but i suspect you may need witnesses.... (annd go...) :)

the police have copied the cctv from 2 cameras and have charged him so pretty cut and dry but apparently they do things different now they can give him a caution with an attachment of compensation so it frees up court time should hear back this week will let you know

Charged with an attachment for Compensation?

What about your £5000 worth of Criminal Damage?

Charged & convicted are two different things -

They can be charged and get off on a technicality

With regards to attachment of compo... yup, you'll get your £500 at £1 per week

Stood behind knuts at the local court paying £10 per month fines, moaning that there on benefits!

While bragging about they've been in lanzagrotty with the wife and kids all inclusive for the last 3 weeks

best of luck

As I said the police said there is a new system in place where they have the option to reimburse me my losses and they can take the caution

One would imagine that the reimbursement would have to be complete in a very short time-frame.

He'll still resent the fuck out of you - for "costing" him the money, so be prepared for future issues with him

Then I guess she had to crash
Panniers would have helped that bash....

...and the bikermates say, "Doo doo doo...."

You really have a very twisted logic!

"Panniers would have helped that bash ???"
WTF ? Lessened the damage heh ? protected the bike,?

You work in insurance ?

Is that why you blame bikers who (don't use big chains) rather than the criminals who target bikes ?

Let me make it clear , the guy (OP) should be able to have his bike configured any way he wishes .... the C U N T who attached it needs a big fine /custody.

Santa, that's the amounts set for repayment of a fine. Compensation orders are different, at least in Scotland. Nor do we have this police caution malarky.

Often the poor misunderstood darlings "forget" to pay their fine. Get lifted, normally on a Friday and spend the weekend in cells. Where upon on Monday, having done time, the professional liar gets fines wiped out because they've been locked up. This normally works so no more fine to pay and everythings alright in the world.

Except, a compensation order isn't a fine, and still has to be paid. Shame the little **** who stole one of my bikes years ago didn't understand the difference. He did 4 days in the cells and still owed the money.

Also, once a compensation order has been granted, notify your insurer; for two reasons.

One, if you've made a claim on your policy, you have now recovered your excess from the guilty third party, so money back please and now it is a settled claim.

Two, As liability has been settled, they admitted to it, the insurers are legally required to recover monies from him. He may ignore you, but not your insurance company claiming against him.

So, hopefully a win win.

He agrees to pay for the damage, gets caution, if he fails to cough up the cash he goes to court.
